By using Steeped, you agree to these terms.

Product description

Steeped is a browser extension that helps summarize web pages using your own Anthropic API key. Steeped v1 is provided on a bring-your-own-key basis and does not include a managed Steeped backend service.

No warranty

Steeped is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• complying with applicable laws
• complying with site terms for pages you visit
• safeguarding access to your device and browser profile
• managing and monitoring your own Anthropic API usage and costs
• reviewing outputs before relying on them

Third-party services

Steeped depends on third-party services, including Anthropic. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies.

Acceptable use

You may not use Steeped in a way that:

• violates law or third-party rights
• attempts to disrupt or abuse third-party systems
• misrepresents generated outputs as guaranteed fact
• infringes intellectual property rights

Output quality

AI-generated summaries and follow-up answers may be incomplete or incorrect. You should verify important information against the original source material.

Open-source code

Steeped is released under the MIT License. Use of the source code is also governed by that license.

Changes

These terms may change over time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
